Normally, a fall like that would break every bone in your body. Thankfully, with Ion’s powers, the worst it could do is bruise every bone in his body. Lucky him.
We already knew Ion and Echo’s game plan was lacking, but it’s still nice to hear Echo admit it. Acknowledgement is the first step toward progress!
No one would expect an attack from a single barely-conscious foe, so right there Ion has the element of surprise!
