Coming up with banter can be hard, but it’s a skill that can be useful. One example might be, say, coming up with captions for a weekly webcomic. I know, I know, that one might be a bit far-fetched.
It took a lot of effort to write the dialogue for this page. I spent months agonizing over whether to use the word “gasp!” or… one of its many synonyms.
Ooh, the vase broke. Didn’t see that coming. Well actually, since I’m making the comic, I did– but work with me here…
I imagine Ion broke his fair share of neighborhood windows playing baseball as a child. Of course, those were by accident (we hope).
“Unstoppable” is an extreme term. Dark Silence could have a weakness we’re not aware of. Maybe he’s gluten-free.
Ion’s got a good head on his shoulders. Unfortunately, no matter how reasonable he sounds, Ion still looks like he picked a fight with a baseball bat– and lost.
Impressively, Ion managed to recover his credibility in the eyes of Echo. This credibility unravels almost automatically, which is nearly as impressive.
